Exilis, the non-surgical liposuction alternative manufactured by BTL Aesthetics utilises a combination of ultrasounds and radio frequency to eliminate fat!
How does Exilis work?
Exilis uses a device with two heads that liquefies fat and tightens the skin at the same time. To achieve that, it emits monopolar radio frequency waves as well as ultrasounds which triggers collagen growth. In fact, the integrated Energy Flow Control (EFC) system enables the doctor to focus exactly on the wanted area, while being constantly informed by a monitor, and apply the appropriate energy to the patient’s body or face, thusly treating it without causing any undesired harm. After it has been melted, the fat goes through the lymphatic system, exiting the patient’s system.
A typical Exilis operation takes about 20-30 minutes, depending of course on the size of the treated area. A total of 4-6 treatments (at 7-10 days intervals) are usually required to experience fairly noticeable results, which will appear after a time period of 2-3 months after the completing of the treatment.
The top benefits of Exilis skin tightening are:
- Achieves effective fat shedding from the treated spots
- Accomplishes dynamic skin tightening
- Efficiently tones and contours the trouble body areas
- Causes minimal discomfort and pain during the procedure thanks to its advanced software that delivers gradual application of energy
- Requires brief treating sessions
- Delivers long-lasting results
- It is clinically tested and is almost free of side effects, mainly owing to its non-obtrusive method
Areas taken care of by Exilis
- “Love handles”
- Inner Knees
- Breast (and “men breasts”)

Is it safe?
Exilis is extremely safe as it delivers precise heating and cooling plus real time monitoring of skin temperature. This allows our skilled practitioners to reach therapeutic temperatures in the shortest amount of time providing a predictable and therefore beneficial outcome while ensuring your safety and comfort.
Does it hurt?
The Exilis treatment is not painful. It feels like a warm, heated massage. Your body temperature is constantly monitored and the settings adjusted to make sure that during your treatment you are comfortable at all times.
What’s the downtime?
Your skin may look slightly pink for 1-2 hours after the treatment but this may vary slightly from patient to patient.
What happens to the ‘destroyed’ fat cells?
Over time, the body metabolises and excretes the ‘destroyed’ fat cells as waste and there is usually no increase in either cholesterol or fat levels in the blood. To help this process, we recommend that you increase your water intake and exercise levels the day before and after each treatment.
Will Exilis work for me?
The ideal candidate for Exilis is someone within two stone of their ideal body weight with areas of soft, pinchable fat and/or skin laxity, cellulite and wrinkles.
How many treatments will I need?
Generally a series of treatments will be required to achieve the desired result. We often recommend a course of 4-6 treatments but this will of course depend on your cosmetic concerns and the goals you want to achieve.
How long do the results after the course of treatment last?
Treatment for sagging skin and wrinkles – results can last for up to 2 years for most of our patients.
Treatment for unwanted fat – there are long term results for most patients (as long as you maintain your weight with normal diet and exercise).
What are the risks and complications of treatment?
All non-invasive procedures carry a small amount of risk which is why we will only proceed with the treatment after a face-to-face consultation with one of experienced practitioners. During the consultation a full assessment will be carried out and all the important cautions and contraindications discussed with you.
